DRAWING, PAINTING and MIXED MEDIA: Grades 3-8, 6-12
Discover the excitement of turning ideas into images through drawing, painting, and mixed media! Students explore line, value, color, composition, abstraction, and realism while creating imaginative and expressive artwork.
Through hands-on projects, students experiment with a wide range of materials including graphite, charcoal, pen and ink, watercolor, tempera, acrylic, collage, and mixed media techniques. They will learn to observe and create artwork inspired by nature, interiors, everyday objects, the human figure, imaginative worlds, and nonobjective designs—all while developing confidence, creativity, and their own unique artistic voice.
PORTFOLIO BUILDING & Advanced Art Skills: Grades 7-12
Designed for students preparing AP Art portfolios, college applications, or those seeking to further develop their artistic skills, this class provides focused exploration of techniques, materials, concepts, and creative processes.
Through individualized guidance and thoughtful feedback, students strengthen their technical skills, refine their artistic voice, and create a body of work that reflects their interests, creativity, strengths, and personal vision. Students explore a variety of styles and approaches while developing confidence, originality, and a deeper understanding of the creative process.
ART METHODS: Adult
This class provides an opportunity to develop and refine skills through exploration of a wide range of artistic techniques and materials. Drawing, painting, mixed media, and creative bookbinding processes will be introduced through hands-on projects that emphasize both technical skill and creative expression.
Students will explore the unique qualities of graphite, charcoal, pen and ink, acrylic, watercolor, collage, and mixed media while learning approaches to composition, observation, and visual problem solving. Projects will include drawing and painting from nature, interiors, man-made objects, the human figure, nonobjective forms, and imaginative imagery.

DRAW-A-THON: Grades 4-8, 6-12
In this intensive drawing experience, students will explore a variety of drawing approaches while developing technical skills, creative thinking, and their own unique artistic vision. Fundamental drawing concepts—including line, proportion, composition, and the elements and principles of design—will be explored through focused exercises and engaging projects.
Each session will introduce a different drawing technique and skill, encouraging students to experiment, observe carefully, and build confidence in their ability to express ideas through drawing, painting, and mixed media.
